The Fierce Images Dance Team
The Fierce Dance Team is about more than just photography.
It’s a community of passionate dancers who come together to create stunning imagery, form lasting friendships, and give back through meaningful service projects.
Founded by award-winning photographer Erica Land, the team blends artistry and purpose, celebrating each dancer’s unique spirit while building confidence both in front of the camera and beyond the studio.
From dramatic studio shoots to creative outdoor sessions (even a custom-built rain machine!), each experience is designed to push creative boundaries and inspire dancers to embrace their strength and individuality.

Fierce Images Dance Team
The Fierce Images Dance Team is a creative ambassador program for dancers who want to express themselves through meaningful portraiture, give back to the community, and be part of something truly special. Open to dancers of all ages, levels, and studios throughout Maryland and Virginia, this team is about more than just dance, it’s about confidence, connection, and making a difference.
Team members:
Participate in custom, artistic portrait sessions that reflect their unique personality and movement style
Become part of a supportive, inclusive team that celebrates individuality and creative expression
Take part in community service projects through my nonprofit, ElP Gives Back, supporting local and national nonprofits
Represent Project Beauty, a no-makeup, no-retouch black-and-white photo and video experience focused on highlighting natural beauty and self-love
Serve as Dance Hope Cure ambassadors, helping to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer through events like our annual fashion show fundraiser

Behind the Lens
Erica launched Fierce Images in 2016, inspired by her own children’s love of dance.
Her mission was to capture movement and expression in a way that went beyond traditional recital photos, creating portraits that reflect the passion and individuality of each dancer.
Since then, Fierce Images has expanded to photograph not only dancers, but athletes across sports like football, baseball, and basketball, always with the same focus: strength, dedication, and drive.

How to Join
Membership spots are limited each year.
The application process includes:
- Completing the online application form
- A review of your experience, goals, and passion for dance
- Invitations sent to selected dancers
